SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Test Engineer to join our Information Technology Transformation to Cloud Enterprise (IT2CE) team. The individual will develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
Responsibilities include:
- Develops test plans, test schedule, and approach. Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios. Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads. Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
- Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment. Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management.
- Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Creates daily test metrics and reporting. Occasionally performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with eligibility and willingness to take a CI polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 9 years overall experience with demonstrated experience in:
- Running test validations at various levels including DB validation, logging validation, and UI validation
- Ability to write test documentation - Test Plans; Test Procedures; Change Requests; System Requirements Documents; Problem Reports, Discrepancy Reports
- Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases
- Familiarity with Information Security best practices
- Experience using testing tools such as Jenkins
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentations of work performed
- Solid experience Agile Scrum approach
- Utilizing version control or tracking software such as Subversion, Github, JIRA, and/or Confluence
