Description
SAIC has an opportunity for a Senior Network Technician on Ford Island in Oahu, Hawaii to support the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) program to set up and maintain local area networks to support exercises and simulations, as well as, perform system administration for Microsoft Server based network.
NOTE: This position requires relocation to Oahu, Hawaii. Ability to negotiate relocation allowance.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Sets up and maintains local area networks to support exercises and simulations
- Performs system administration for Microsoft Server based network
- Supports wide-range of virtualized Microsoft Windows, client systems, and Audio-Visual (AV) systems
- Provides support for a client base of Windows 10 and Office 2016/2019/Office 365 products across physical laptops/desktops and thin/zero clients
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Experience with Wireless controllers
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN software
- Must be able to install, configure, troubleshoot Cisco and Aruba switches
- Must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot VMware ESXi, vSphere and Connection Server
- Experience and knowledge supporting Windows 10 Workstation OS
- Experience and knowledge supporting Office 2016/2019/Office 365 products
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:
- Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (i.e. Security+ CE, CCNA, CySA+, etc)
- Must be able to obtain at least one of the following Network Certifications; Cisco, Aruba, or Palo Alto within one (1) year of first day
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
- Must be a current US Citizen
