Job Summary and Qualifications

PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS A WORK FROM HOME OPPORTUNITY

The positions primary responsibility will be to implement, operationalize, and support HCA Healthcare’s HIE (Health Information Exchange) solution. Supports business owners related to system solutions, enhancements or system issues. Provides business knowledge and subject matter expertise on systems to the business owner and team members. Works with other key project team members to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve project issues, and ensure the IT solution meets requirements and the business need.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery of HIE Solutions

  • Work with the Business Owner to design and develop enhancements to the system, ensure that the integrations function properly.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation for projects and ensures the information can be easily located and referenced by the organization.
  • Able to establish and meet due/delivery dates.
  • Manage operational, design and technical tasks as needed based on project.
  • Coordinate and assist in prioritizing new enhancement requests through reviews with the Business.
  • Identify potential risks to the quality of the product/solution.
  • Participates in solution testing (Use Case development, Test Planning, Test Strategy)
  • Participates with Business Owner in developing rollout strategies, training materials, ITG training.
  • Manage and Maintain Operational Processes for HIE Solutions.
  • Discover and Document Requirements as necessary for HIE Solutions.
  • Lead Meetings with Purpose, document outcomes, action items, and next steps.

Manage Relationships

  • Provide second level system support for Corporate Service Support.
  • Maintain vendor technical relationships including driving operational deliverables.
  • Maintain open collaboration with the business leaders to assure deliverables are agreed upon
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal ITG departments.

Continuous HIE Related Team and Process Improvement

  • Continually look for, propose, and execute opportunities to optimize the processes that affect the HIE solutions.

EDUCATION

College Graduate - Preferred

EXPERIENCE

Relevant Work Experience

3 or more years

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Required – 3 or more years of relevant job experience in the following areas

Strong problem and issue resolution experience

Highly motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.

Adeptness to learn new assignments, technologies and application quickly and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Ability to build strong relationships within department and with other technical team members.

Ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, understand and synthesize complex problems, assess technical risks, and recommend sound solutions in a timely manner.

Leads meetings with Purpose, ensures documented outcomes, action items and next steps.

Preferred – 1 – 2 years of relevant job experience in the following areas

2 years of experience implementing HL7 interfaces and standards including CCD/CCDA

2 years of experience with HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)

2 years of experience with .NET, C#, SQL, Python

2 years of Data Science/Informatics experience

2 years of experience with PowerBi or equivalent analytics tool

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office - Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel

Knowledge and experience of XML and JSON standards

Knowledge and experience with interoperability and national exchanges (CommonWell, eHealth Exchange)

Knowledge and experience with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process

Experience with Clinical Applications that facilitate patient care

Experience/Understanding of Healthcare HHS ONC/CMS/OIG Regulatory requirements

Experience with EMR application integrations for MEDITECH, EPIC, eClinical Works, Experity

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Some travel will be required – 10% or less
