Position Summary: 

Incumbent will manage equipment inventory for Women & Children Services to ensure that the proper equipment is available, functioning properly, and ready to use when needed.  This includes purchasing responsibilities as well as performing equipment maintenance, cleaning, and basic repair. Acts as the technical expert for all equipment needs and will inservice staff on the usage of new equipment as needed.  Will trend and track usage in the department, and works closely with the team to determine equipment needs.

 

Salary Range: 

 

Rate    Minimum  $22.18   Midpoint  $24.88   Maximum  $27.59

PNT_CARE Provides oversight for the cleaning and maintenance of equipment in accordance with decontamination policies, demonstrating safe use and care.  Troubleshoots equipment issues, performs routine preventive maintenance, and coordinates repair as necessary to ensure proper functioning. Provides inservice to staff on equipment as needed. Maintains all necessary documentation to track appropriate maintenance schedules, etc. Understands the relationship between various pieces of clinical equipment and the associated age related needs

PNT_CARE Manages inventory to ensure the availability of instruments, equipment and supplies, and communicates usage and availability information as appropriate.  Complies with appropriate Purchasing procedures and follows through to ensure timely delivery.  Keeps accurate inventory documentation of equipment and maintains PAR levels

PNT_CARE Appropriately monitors and rotates supplies to prevent expiration and waste. Processes of special orders, and capital equipment purchases, researching best options and assuring that cost analyses are completed for all orders. Establishes a mechanism to retrieve “just in time” surplus and emergency preparedness equipment

ADM_Function as the departmental liaison regarding remodeling, and construction/closure areas. Will implement and maintain a plan to prevent theft of equipment and supplies. Will serve as the department Safety On Site Officer

Required Qualifications:

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced healthcare environment

Must be able to perform basic analysis to determine the benefit and value of purchasing options
