Position Summary: 

The incumbent acts as both a functional and technical leader in the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of the Medical Center’s HR Information Systems.  Facilitates decisions and work efforts which affect applications and HR Data Management practices.  Participates in the analysis and design of data communication links between systems.  Incumbent serves as subject matter expert and primary analyst for Oracle / PeopleSoft and associated vendor products.

 

Salary Range: 

 

Rate    Minimum  $68,800.00    Maximum  $123,900.00

IS: Completes prototype review and testing.  Identifies the necessary technical preparation required for testing of software and plans the subsequent coding or programming required.  Effectively writes reports of test results.  Reviews and evaluates the adequacy and efficiency of installed systems compared to previously determined goals and realizable benefits.  Obtains documented assurance from users that the system or new product is functioning according to user-established acceptance criteria.

IS: Analyzes user requirements regarding initial system design, implementation, problems and enhancements.  Modifies and enhances systems based on continuing needs and changing goals. Effectively interfaces with key stakeholders to identify and develop system requirements

IS: Prepares system and programming documentation for users and other IS staff in accordance with internal and external standards

IS: Serves as a functional leader and technical expert.  Provides support to users on hardware and software packages and applications.  Evaluates requests for services in relationship to organization and department goals and provides estimations of work effort

IS: Plans and provides oversight for system processing, integrity and controls.  Detects, defines, and debugs programs as problems arise.  Establishes the need for further technical or consultative support, including identifying when to involve other IS staff and/or consultants.

IS: Significantly contributes for design, conversion, specifications, development, testing and implementation efforts relating to the UCPath Project and participates in the project efforts for successful UCPath implementation and Data Warehouse project for the Medical center and SOM.

Required Qualifications:

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Must have experience implementing / supporting 3 or more of PeopleSoft 9.0 or above HCM Core  modules  of WFA, TAM, ePerformance, Profile Management, Query Designer, Workflows  or Enterprise Portal

Ability to self initiate and effectively problem solve issues

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution

Must be willing to participate in 24 hour on-call rotations as a system duty officer

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must have working knowledge of client/server systems, relational database structures and reporting tools

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess strong analytical, reports development and testing skills on PeopleSoft HCM product version 9.0 or above

Ability to function as a project leader and project member

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using/implementing/supporting Custom Workflows, Reports development using Cognos Framework manager

Development experience on PeopleSoft technology such as application designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine Programming, etc.

Development experience in MicroSoft Access platform and SQL

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Project Coordination / management experience
